You can help design a can of beer for a West Loop restaurant – and the winner gets free beers

WEST LOOP – A West Loop restaurant is holding a beer can design contest for a specialty beer.

Recess, 838 W. Kinzie St., is teaming up with Lake Effect Brewing Company for a special-edition beer. To celebrate, Recess is holding a contest where participants can design the beer can and win prizes, according to a press release.

The winner will have their design as the official beer logo and label for one year. They will also receive a free Recess-branded beer each time they visit the restaurant.

Artists are encouraged to upload the template online and design a can that embodies the recreation and atmosphere of the restaurant. The recreation will help digitize hand-drawn or painted pieces, according to the press release.

Interested parties should send their final design to [email protected] by April 1.
