Div Com Launches Official Website, Sukrala & Shri Mata Bala Sundri Shrine Board Logo – Jammu Kashmir Latest News | Tourism

KATHUA, February 16: Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Dr Raghav Langer launched the official website of the Shri Mata Sukarala Devi and Shri Mata Bala Sundri Shrine Board today in a brief ceremony held at the Sukrala Mata shrine (Billawar).
The Divisional Commissioner also unveiled the official logo of the Sanctuary Council in the presence of DDC Chairman, Kathua, Mahan Singh; Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Yadav; SSP RC Kotwal; ADC Billawar Sandesh Kumar Sharma and others.
The website currently contains information related to the history of the shrines, Mata Ki Aarti, boarding schools near the shrine, online donations and other miscellaneous information and will be updated in the future.
The Divisional Commissioner, who is also Chairman of the Sanctuary Council, stressed the need to work with all stakeholders to develop the desired infrastructure and revitalize the area. He said the area in and around the twin shrines should be equipped with amenities for an enjoyable experience of devotees coming from different parts of Jammu and Kashmir and other states of the country.
The Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Rahul Yadav, informed that the website will be further enhanced with online modes for donations, Prasad and Live Aarti for devotees.
The Divisional Commissioner also chaired a meeting of relevant officers to review the development scenario and ongoing works of the Sukrala Mata Shrine.
Earlier, Dr. Raghav Langer also held a detailed deliberation with Baaridars of Mata Sukrala Shrine and other stakeholders at Dak Bunglow, Billawar.
The Div Com said the Council will soon be reconstituted by the government to give impetus to the overall development of the sanctuary. He said that the proposal is also submitted soon to the government for the constitution of a tribunal for the determination of the rights and privileges of the Baridars; which are an important part of this sacred shrine.
