Andre Miller signs with the New York Giants as a free agent

Orono, Maine – University of Maine wide receiver Andre Miller signed a free agent contract with the New York Giants, as announced on Sunday, May 1.
Miller, a native of Old Town, Maine, is a two-time All-CAA winner after earning first-team honors in the spring of 2021 and a second team nod following the fall 2021 season. In his senior season at Maine, Miller recorded a career-high 39 receptions for a career-high 684 yards and three touchdowns in nine games as he ranked ninth in the CAA in receptions per game (3 .9), fourth in receiving yards per game (68.4) with an average of 17.5 yards per catch.
Selected twice by Phil Steele for the All-CAA preseason, Miller burst onto the scene in Maine’s 2018 FCS Semifinals at Eastern Washington where he recorded nine receptions for 129 yards and a touchdown. Miller continued his progress the following season when he caught 28 receptions for 529 yards and four touchdowns, including a Maine-record setting one reception 90 yards for a score.
Miller was named to the All-CAA First Team in the spring of 2021 where he led the league in receptions per game (5.25) and yards per game (87.0) while tied for the league lead in regular-season touchdown receptions with six.
Miller concluded his career with the Black Bears ranked 14th on Maine’s all-time receiving yards list with 1,848 yards, including seven performances of 100 yards or more in a single game, to go along with 104 receptions and 14 touchdowns. .
