news, local news,

A 92 year old logo is on the chopping block with AgShows NSW looking for a brand new design for the organization. The leading body for 192 agricultural shows across the state, including the Wagga Show, the New South Wales Council of Agricultural Societies was recently renamed with a new business name – AgShows. Now the organization is expanding its new image to its logo which has been in use since 1929. The search was open to artists from across the campaign, with the organization holding a competition for a new design with a $ 300 voucher as the winning prize. IN OTHER NEWS: President Tim Capp invited lovers of their local shows to throw their hats in the ring with a design. “This brand needs a logo, and we believe there is someone out there who loves their local show, understands who we are and has the design skills to bring our new name to life,” said Mr. Capp. Mr Capp said the winning design will play a central role in the recognition of AgShows. “Secondary audiences are local performance participants, including nearly a million a year in New South Wales, and policy makers,” he explains. “We need policymakers to be able to see our brand and immediately understand what we do and what we stand for.” The competitions follow the cancellation of most shows in the second half of 2021, including the annual Wagga Show. The new design would direct the return of the shows in 2022. The contest ends at 5 pm on October 31, and the winner will be announced in December before the launch of a new logo in early 2022. Those who wish to participate must submit a design like as well as 200 words on the design and another 200 words explaining their connection to agricultural shows. Submissions can be made here.
