Want to check where your Aadhaar has been used? Follow these steps
Aadhaar Card has made our life easier by facilitating various online services that previously required us to go through a complex offline process. Aadhaar is just not another ID document, but it is our one stop solution for various services. However, along with the ease of doing things, there is also a concern about the misuse of your contact details. Although the UIDAI has a multi-level authentication process to use your Aadhaar for any service, you can dispel any doubts about the misuse of Aadhaar by checking its authentication history online.
The Single Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the body that manages Aadhaar, gives you the ability to verify where and when your Aadhaar has been used for authentication. To find your Aadhaar history, all you need to do is visit the UIDAI website and follow these simple steps.
How to check Aadhaar authentication history online?
Step 1: Log into the official UIDAI website uidai.gov.in
Step 2: Click on the Aadhaar Services option under the My Aadhaar tab on the home page
Step 3: Select the option of Aadhaar authentication history
Step 4: Next, enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number followed by the Captcha code requested by the website
Step 5: Click Send OTP and you will receive it on your registered mobile number
Step 5: You will now be taken to a new page which will prompt you to select the authentication type from the available options including All Demographic, Biometric, OTP, Demographic and Biometric, Biometric and OTP, Demographic and OTP.
Step 6: After selecting the authentication type, you need to select a date range – start date to end date, for your required records
Step 7: Enter the number of records you need. (Note: the maximum allowed limit is 50 records)
Step 8: Enter the OTP you received previously and continue by clicking on Verify OTP
You will arrive on a page with the details of your Aadhaar authentication history. This included the date, time and type of authentication request. In addition, you also have the option to download these details in a PDF.
