Hockey Canada has announced its roster for the Beijing 2022 Olympic Games, which includes 4 former Clarkson Gold Knights, on the blue line, Ella Shelton, Erin ambrose, & Fast renata anchor an excellent team defense for Canada and Jamie Lee Rattray will look to continue producing points up front for the Canadiens.
At the 2021 World Championships this summer, those 4 helped Canada win a gold medal.
This will be the 2nd Olympic participation of Renata Fast, who won silver in 2018.
Rattray was named the recipient of the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award in 2014 and was the first knight to win the 2014 ECAC Hockey Player of the Year honors, and was named a member of America’s First All-Star Team. .
Erin Ambrose was nominated for the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award and named All American in 2014.
Fast, Rattray and Ambrose were part of the 2014 National Championship squad for the Golden Knights.
Ella Shelton was a member of the 2017 and 2018 national championship teams and was named All American in her senior season.
These four join Savannah Harmon as former Golden Knights who will skate in Beijing. Harmon was recently announced as part of Team USA.
